What Is A Good Hair Loss Product

Finding a good hair loss product that actually works for you can be very difficult because there is so much junk that is being hawked as good for making hair grow even though it doesn't.  There are all kinds of claims for remedies that are supposed to give you back your hair within 30 days or some other claim.  The fact of the matter is, if you are completely bald or mostly bald no hair loos product will regrow your hair.  If you are a man, the most likely cause of your hair loss is a genetic condition known as male pattern baldness.  This medical problem can be passed down through either the mother or the father's side of the family.  This is in direct contrast to the old wives tale that said you could only go bald if your mother's brothers were bald.

Male pattern baldness is also known by its medical term Androgenic Alopecia.  When a man is suffering from this problem his hair roots are actually rendered ineffective by a substance that occurs naturally in our bodies.  This substance, DHT, is derived from the male hormone testosterone.  It is formed when testosterone is metabolized during normal functions.

If you are looking for a good hair loss product then be sure it contains the FDA approved drug Minoxidil. This drug has been shown to be effective for both men and women used as directed twice a day on the scalp. The original product that used this drug was Rogaine. It is still claimed to be the best product of its kind but you can now get Minoxidil in a generic form. Many people swear that the generic form is just as good at the original.
