Non-slip Garage Floor Paint
74One
of the questions that sometimes would come up is why would someone
would want to spend time and effort in painting the garage floor. What I
mean is, since the garage door is often times closed and, if that’s not
the case your car will probably be parked on the flooring of the
garage, it is rare for people to actually catch a glimpse of the floor
surface. It appears like you are just wasting time. This can be true
except if you are considering applying a non-slip garage floor paint.
The garage is one of the parts of the house which has high occurrences
of slipping and falling together with the tub area of the bathroom.
Using the proper paint can put an end to this problem.
If
you are driving your car in an area where there is rain or snow, the
garage floor paint can provide much better traction in case your car is
dripping with rain water or snow melt when you drive in. Water found on
the hard slab of concrete becomes a bearing surface which makes your
feet slip out from underneath you very easily. If there are some oil
spots from dripping oil or spills from an oil change, you actually have a
recipe for tragedy. As the old saying goes “water and oil don’t mix” is
literally true. In this matter, the two materials are sliding past
each other once pressure is applied and this makes your feet slip from
under you and you have no way to control it.
One
of the best ways to apply a non-slip material is by rolling out first
your garage floor paint and then you have to spread out the color flecks
on the surface with paint before it dries. These flecks offer good
footing and they also improve the intensity of the surface which makes
the floor look really nice. Of course, the paint can be any color that
you want and then you can have a different color for the flecks so that
you will have an attractive two-tone effect.
You
are lucky if there has been no slipping accident that has happened in
your garage. Nevertheless, every time you drive your car in and snow or
water is dripping off, then, you are just delaying the possibility of
the inevitable outcome of your floor surface that is unprotected. You
must apply a floor paint and do not wait for something unpleasant to
happen.
