How To Stop Thinning Hair

In reality there are only a few ways of dealing with hair loss that are actually successful.  Or sure, you can try all the ridiculous treatments and remedies advertised on the web but most of them will do absolutely nothing to really get your hair back growing again.  The reason for this is simple and I will explain it

Hair loss in men is almost always caused by a genetic condition called Androgenic Alopecia.  This is a hereditary problem which can be traced back through either the mother's or the father's side of the family.  For most of history it was thought that mothers must cause the problem because a father could have thick hair and have a balding son or vice versa.  The people could not understand how the father could be responsible so of course they blamed the mother.

The reason it doesn't show up in every generation is because the genes are recessive which means they can pass right through a generation without causing any symptoms.  The problem called Androgenic Alopecia actually allows a normal occurring substance in the body to attack the hair follicles (hair roots) and cause them to stop producing the hair shaft material keratin.

In order to stop hair loss you need to protect the hair follicles from attack.  One of the best ways to do this is to use Minoxidil a drug that has been proven very effective.  It is actually the active ingredient in Rogaine which everyone knows is very effective at helping men and women to keep their hair.

Dealing with hair loss before it happens is always the best remedy.  Minoxidil is very good for this.  In fact, just the other day my wife commented on how much hair I had regrown on the top of my head after using this product for only six months.  It was all because of my Mother-in-law.

Well I ordered the product from Amazon and started using it as soon as it arrived.  Man was I happy.  In about a month I saw a little growth and now by head is completely covered again.  Apparently Minoxidil works best for the crown area but now that this area is covered I am going to start using it on my receding hair line.

This product will work great to help thicken your hair and bring back some that has fallen out but the reality is Minoxidil is not a miracle drug.  If you are completely bald on top then you only have two potential solutions.  You can get a toupee (hair piece) or you can have a hair transplant procedure.

Of these two, I think the hair transplant is the best option.  It is going to cost more but it will last for years to come as the transplanted hairs take root and start to grow.  Within just a few months you can have a good head of hair once again.
