Converting MLM Leads Every Time

If you are in multi-level marketing then you know how hard it is to get leads and how much harder it is to convert those leads to members of your down line.  Have you ever thought that maybe the problem isn't your pitch or isn't how you conduct the meeting?  Maybe you are just targeting the wrong people with your lead acquisition techniques.  Maybe you need to stand back and see if you have any clue about who you are trying to bring into the family of your organization.

Most people understand that this is a numbers game.  The basic idea behind this is the more people you pitch your opportunity too the more people who will sign up with your plan.  This is really a mathematical fact that can't be disputed.  If you talk to ten people you need to have a one out of ten chance of signing someone in order to get a new member.  If you talk to one hundred people then you only need a one in one hundred chance.  These are much better odds as you can see.  So the greater the number of people you pitch the better the chance that you will be able to get one of those prospects to sign with you.

This is fine except what if the people you are talking to are not the type to start a business and run with it.  Well you can get a lot of people to sign but they will never do anything with the opportunity because they do not have the skills or desire to build the business.  In this case, you absolutely wasted your time.  You thought the "numbers game" meant if you talked to enough people you could sign some and that would grow your business.

Unfortunately that is not how it works.  You can not make the leap from the number of people you sign to the growth of your business.  If everyone is just signing up because they like you (friends and family) but they don't intend to do any work then they will not grow your organization and help you reach your goals.

So how do you find leads that will actually help you to grow your business into the organization you desire?  You start by getting rid of the notion that you are only after signers.  There is nothing that could be further from the truth.  You need business builders not just names to put in your down line list.

Converting good MLM leads is easier when you pre-qualify the person before you spend a lot of time on the pitch.  Is this person really interested in a business opportunity or are they just listening to you so they don't hurt your feelings.  You must spend time on the ones who show a willingness to build a business and get away from the numbers game.
